Alternatively if your child is able to wait, we can form a line for them to visit in between appointments (we have heat lamps). If you wait, please understand we need to prioritize the schedule, so your time with Santa may be a little rushed but we will do our best to accommodate and make it special for your family. Sensitive Santa is an opportunity for children to visit Santa in a calm and gentle environment. This event is designed for children who may become overstimulated in traditional Santa settings or who may be nervous about meeting Santa for the first time. Sensitive Santa gives them a chance to experience the magic in a way that feels comfortable, supported, and joyful.

We hosted this event for the first time last year and it was a beautiful evening. The event sold out and we saw so many children have a meaningful and happy Santa moment that they may not have had otherwise.

To make sure each child has dedicated time with Santa and does not have to wait, we use a reservation system. Many children on the spectrum or with sensory or emotional challenges may not be able to wait in long lines or be outside in cold weather for too long. Reservations allow families to arrive at their scheduled time and also allow us to create space so that children are not rushed and have the time they need to get comfortable.

The space will be heated and enclosed with privacy curtains. Blinking lights will be turned off and soft instrumental holiday music will be playing. The goal is to create a peaceful and welcoming experience without overstimulation, while still full of holiday cheer.
